Dagala Thousand Lake Trek

This is a short trek near Thimphu, passing through pictures high mountains and lakes.

  • Day 01:  Arrival Paro: transfer to hotel.
  • Day 02:  Paro: morning visit to Paro, afternoon drive to Thimphu. Overnight in Thimphu.
  • Day 03: Thimphu: Full day of sightseeing in Thimphu. Overnight at hotel in Thimphu.
  • Day 04: Thimphu - Genekha: 14km - 4 hours: Drive 45 minutes to reach starting point of the trek. Camp at Genekha near a stream at 2800m.
  • Day 05: Genekha - Gur: 15km - 4 hours: trek through alpine flora and fauna. Camp at Gur.
  • Day 06: Gur - Labatama: 12 km - 7 hours: Today's trek is amidst flowers and wild asparagus & view of Dagala range. Camp at 4300 near Utso Lake.
  • Day 07: Labatama: rest day to explore any of the three lakes; Relitsho, Hentsho and Jamatsho. Overnight at camp.
  • Day 08: Labatama - Panka: 8km - 4 hours: Overnight in camp.
  • Day 09: Panka - Talikha: 8km - 4 hours: Overnight in camp.
  • Day 10:  Talikha - Thimphu - Paro: Pass through alpine forest and reaches to motored road to trek ends. Drive to Thimphu for lunch. Evening drive to Paro. Overnight at hotel in Paro.
  • Day 11: Paro: Departure After breakfast drive to Airport for departure flight to Kathmandu.
