Mani Rimdu Festival (Mask Dance)

Mani-rimdu or The mask dance festival is being celebrated performing different ritualistic dances. Mani-rimdu represents the dramatic triumph of Buddhism over Bon. The first day of the Mani-rimdu is begins 13th day of the 9th month according to Tibetan calendar. However mani-rimdu is performed till 17th day, the day third or full moon day is the main attraction for this celebration. Mani-rimdu has been celebrating in Tyangboche and Chiwang Monasteries.
