While planning a tour or trekking route for you and your family and friends, our main consideration is a high level of personal attention to you, and care and safety for all trekking group members, including our staff. These are our main guidelines when planning a successful trip, and they are the key to our providing the best trekking arrangements in Nepal. These guidelines will not be overlooked, ignored, or compromised when planning a tour or trekking route in this mountainous country. We will help you choose the trip, suggest the best time frame for it, and work hard to understand and fulfill your needs. We are flexible, and we listen to you, leaving nothing to chance and giving attention to every detail. Our friendly and experienced Sherpa guides will give you warm and personal service during the trek. Upon your request, we provide guides who speak your language. We choose clean, quiet, and well run hotels and restaurants. Adventure tourism is not just our business but also a job we love to do.
High mountain treks are much unlike an everyday sightseeing tour, and the basics cannot be compromised. Safety is obviously an important issue in high altitude trekking. With our experience over the years, we plan our trekking itineraries allowing enough time for acclimatization, which is required for the adjustment of your body to the high altitude. Altitude sickness is the most important reason why a great number of trekking trips to the Himalaya end with failure and disappointment, and we will not reduce the number of days that are actually necessary for acclimatization.
We brief you well about precautions against and the symptoms of altitude sickness. Our experienced guides will take good care of you during the trek and are ready for prompt rescue by helicopter if necessary. We request that you have proper travel insurance, and if you are doing a higher altitude trek, we recommend that insurance covering emergency rescue by a helicopter, in case there is a need.
We believe that our guides and staff are the foundation of our programs. All of our guides are highly skilled professionals who have been selected based on their technical proficiency, supportive teaching style, and personality. Our guides and staff often surpass the needs of our clients, making their trips enjoyable beyond their expectations. Our relationships with both our clients and staff are built on companionship and trust. We provide the most experienced and dedicated guides, high altitude Sherpas, reliable porters, and additional staff for all of our trips.
We are able to offer you a very reasonable price as we work on our own, and I guarantee that our porters and other support staff will be paid fairly. We provide our trekking crew with proper clothing, and each of them who are going through high passes is insured. The stiff competition between agencies often makes this difficult, and sometimes causes some agencies to cut expenses, ultimately cutting back on service or safety.
As a small company with more than 15 years experience, we offer friendly and flexible service, arranging all bookings directly with clients. This helps avoid misunderstanding, as can happen when bookings are arrranged by someone other than the person who guides the clients. When you book with me, I commit my time to you, whereas larger companies generally just arrange a guide for you, and you may not always receive the best-qualified guide. In addition, if you require a city guide during your stay in Kathmandu or Pokhara, I am able to provide local services in those cities as well.
During the booking process, I will establish a clear understanding of your budget and will do my best to work within it. Guides and support staff will all have insurance coverage for any trekking and will be provided with adequate and appropriate equipment for trekking through high passes, which is a major issue in certain areas. As a guide my primary goals are to provide safety and vivid cultural experiences so that everyone has happy memories of their visit to our beautiful Nepal.
I have dedicated myself to the field of adventure tourism in Nepal, having worked in different trekking agencies since my first trek in 1995. Now, I have established my own company: Himalayan Paradise Trek & Expedition (P) Ltd. I can assure you that our excellent field support staffs are well trained, having years of experience in this profession. We are always ready to offer you the highest level of service with your personal safety our highest priority. We work hard to make your trip enjoyable, safe, and memorable.
